Gary & Susan Mummert

I was raised by two wonderful parents on a small farm in New Oxford, PA along with two brothers and a sister.

I accepted Christ as personal savior at an early age as did my wife Sue. We met in September 1968 and married on August 2, 1969. We began attending here in June of 1976. 

From September 1968 through July 2012 I was employed by a York, PA fortune 500 company. For most of my career my title was Northeast Regional Sales Manager, serving HVAC distributors and contractors throughout the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states.  

I retired from that career on August 1, 2012. 

Throughout the 1990's I remotely earned a variety of ministry certificates from Christian Life School of the Bible and Christian International University resulting in ministerial ordination.  By May of 2000, I had earned a “Bachelor of Arts” degree with a worship leading major, and a “Master of Ministry” degree from Christian Leadership University in Elmira, NY

Together Sue and I enter our sixth decade having served the Cityview family in the prayer, life group, financial and personal counseling, children's, custodial, and other ministries.  Over the decades I have served in a variety of personal capacities including, music/worship team direction, soloist, songwriting, financial and biblical counseling, missions, property management and continue to serve as a member of the Council of Elders and pastoral team. 

My personal passions include serving God, my wife and others, music and worship, philanthropy; and in retirement enjoy travel, attending auctions, managing an eBay store, and playing golf. Sue and my desire is to remain instruments in God's hands, serving in any way that he chooses to use us.
